We are recruiting for an HR Manager for Lincolnshire Action Trust

37 hours per week (part-time considered)

Head Office, Newland, Lincoln

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the growth of the charity. With 80 staff and rising, you will work with the senior management team to build an environment which allows our staff and volunteers to flourish. You will be an HR professional who can show leadership and flexibility, ensuring the HR and Volunteering Team act as a business partner to colleagues.

Who are you?

You will have a minimum two years’ experience of working at HR Advisor or Manager level, and of supporting, guiding and coaching managers in all aspects of operational HR and case management. Ideally you will have had experience of longer-term HR strategy development and implementation.

You will have sound, up to date, knowledge of employment law and practical experience of developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, performance management, reward and wellbeing plans. You will have an inquiring mind and you will know how to use data to support sound decision making. You will be comfortable leading and developing a small team and, because the team is small, you’ll also be able and willing to carry out the administrative levels of HR work when necessary.

The role demands flexibility and the willingness and ability to manage time and priorities to adapt to changing circumstances, which can move quite quickly due to the nature of our work.

We will be looking for someone who will value and have an interest in the work that we do and who wants to be a real team player, supporting all colleagues and building relationships based on trust and respect inside and outside the organisation.

Prior experience of working in the charitable sector, or in an organisation where safeguarding of vulnerable people is key, would be very useful but is not essential.

You will need to have up to date CIPD membership at a minimum of Associate Level but ideally Chartered, and access to a vehicle insured for business use to travel throughout the area when required.
