Role
We are seeking an Employment Lawyer/ Experienced Paralegal. Permanent, full time, full year contract (part time and flexible working available). Salary negotiable depending on experience.
Predominantly home based but attendance at face-to-face client and team meetings in Cumbria is required.
Skills
Employment law knowledge essential and knowledge/understanding/interest in public sector terms and/or trade unions desirable. Ability to work independently.
Duties
Drafting and negotiating legal documents (eg Settlement Agreements), drafting and advising on employment terms and conditions in line with Burgundy (teachers) and Green (support staff) Book, reviewing HR policies and providing advice on implementing HR procedures, including TUPE, restructuring, ill health absence, disciplinary, grievance cases etc, legal research and writing blogs. More experienced candidates to demonstrate an ability to build lasting relationships with clients, deliver training and provide support to HR managers.
